Human LZMc (Lysozyme C) ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of human lysozyme C (LZMc) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Lysozyme C plays a key role in the body's defense against bacterial infections by breaking down bacterial cell walls, and its levels can serve as a biomarker for inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases and certain cancers. The protein is naturally found in human milk, saliva, tears and other body fluids.

The assay uses a competitive format with antibody-coated wells and a colorimetric TMB endpoint. Reported sensitivity is 5.625 ng/ml with a measuring range of 9.375–600 ng/ml. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%. Components should be stored at 4°C for 6 months and the kit is intended for research use only. Supported sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
