Human Lysyl-tRNA synthetase (KARS) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for quantitative detection of human Lysyl-tRNA synthetase (KARS), also known as LysRS or KIAA0070. The colorimetric assay is reactive with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human Lysine--tRNA ligase (UniProt Q15046). Recovery averages 92% (range 86-98%) for serum and 94% (range 88-100%) for plasma. Linearity was validated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.

KARS catalyzes the attachment of lysine to its cognate tRNA via a two-step reaction. When secreted, it acts as a signaling molecule that induces immune response through monocyte/macrophage activation. For research use only.
