Human Lysyl oxidase homolog 3 (LOXL3) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Lysyl oxidase homolog 3 (LOXL3), also referred to as Lysyl oxidase-like protein 3 or LOXL. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human LOXL3. Detection is performed colorimetrically and the kit is intended for research use only.

The kit has a reported detection range of 0.47–30 nmol/L and a sensitivity of 0.22 nmol/L. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been evaluated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) for serum (115–115%, 105–114%, 101–113%, 109–120%), EDTA plasma (90–100%, 98–109%, 111–123%, 107–117%) and heparin plasma (95–107%, 114–124%, 91–102%, 103–114%). Recovery averages 97% (range 91–103%) for serum and 99% (range 93–105%) for plasma.

LOXL3 is a member of the lysyl oxidase gene family, and isoform 2 shows protein-lysine 6-oxidase activity toward elastin and different types of collagens, with the highest activity toward collagen type IV. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 67,445 Da and is found in the cytoplasm, secreted to the extracellular space, and is associated with the research area of signal transduction. The kit is supplied with components for the sandwich ELISA workflow including a dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate and stop solution, with specified storage temperatures for each component.
