Human Lysozyme C (LYZ) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Lysozyme C (LYZ) in human samples. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Lysozyme C and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, supporting research applications in immunology.

Quoted performance characteristics include a detection range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision (CV) is 4.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.2%. Spike-and-recovery is reported at an average of 103% for serum (range 97-109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99-111%). Linearity was evaluated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5): serum values span 80-109%, EDTA plasma 93-116% and heparin plasma 101-120% across the dilutions tested.

Lysozymes have primarily a bacteriolytic function, with those in tissues and body fluids associated with the monocyte-macrophage system that enhance the activity of immunoagents. The protein has a molecular weight of approximately 17 kDa (UniProt P61626). The kit is intended for research use only.
