Human Lysosomal protective protein (CTSA) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Lysosomal protective protein (CTSA) in biological samples. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant human Lysosomal protective protein.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 33pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.7% and inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity in serum ranges from 83-92% at 1:2 dilution to 101-113% at 1:16, while EDTA plasma shows 103-113% to 101-109% and heparin plasma 101-111% to 101-109% across the same dilutions. Recovery is reported as 103% (97-109%) for serum and 105% (99-111%) for plasma.

CTSA functions as a protective protein essential for the activity and stability of beta-galactosidase and neuraminidase, and also acts as a carboxypeptidase capable of deamidating tachykinins. The native protein is a disulfide-linked heterodimer of a 32 kDa chain and a 20 kDa chain, located in the lysosome, and is relevant to research in cell biology and lysosomal storage disorders such as galactosialidosis.
