Human Lymphotoxin-alpha (LTA) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Lymphotoxin-alpha (LTA), also referred to as TNF-beta, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples, uses a colorimetric detection method and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Lymphotoxin-alpha. It is supplied as a research-use-only kit intended for work in the field of immunology.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 12pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Lymphotoxin-alpha is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes; in its homotrimeric form it binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM, and in its heterotrimeric form with LTB it binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR. The protein is highly inducible, with the homotrimer being secreted and the heterotrimer membrane-associated.
