Human Lymphocyte function-associated antigen 3 (CD58) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Human Lymphocyte function-associated antigen 3 (CD58) in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Also known as LFA-3 (Surface glycoprotein LFA-3; synonyms Ag3, LFA3), CD58 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (UniProt P19256, NCBI Gene ID 965) with a reported molecular weight of 27,960 Da. The protein localises to the plasma membrane as a GPI-anchored isoform and serves as a ligand of the T-lymphocyte CD2 glycoprotein, mediating cell adhesion and immune cell communication. Abnormal CD58 expression has been linked to autoimmune diseases, inflammatory conditions and infectious diseases.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.8% and inter-assay CV is 6.5%. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 ranges from 81–116% for serum (N=5), 80–123% for EDTA plasma (N=5) and 91–117% for heparin plasma (N=5). Recovery averages 95% (range 89–101%) for serum and 97% (range 91–103%) for plasma. The kit is for research use only.
