Human Ly6/PLAUR domain-containing protein 3 (LYPD3) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Ly6/PLAUR domain-containing protein 3 (LYPD3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Using a colorimetric ELISA method and validated for human reactivity, the assay recognises both natural and recombinant forms of the target protein and supports research into cancer and related pathologies in which LYPD3 has been implicated, including its reported roles in cell migration, urothelial cell-matrix interactions and tumor progression.

The kit delivers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.079 ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum (95–114%), EDTA plasma (81–116%) and heparin plasma (82–111%) at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery averages 96% in serum (range 90–102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92–104%).

LYPD3, also known as GPI-anchored metastasis-associated protein C4.4A homolog, Matrigel-induced gene C4 protein (MIG-C4) and C4.4A, binds laminin-1 and laminin-5 and interacts with LGALS3, AGR2 and AGR3. It is a GPI-anchored cell membrane protein involved in cell-matrix adhesion. The kit is intended for research use only.
