Lumican is a keratan sulfate proteoglycan of the small leucine-rich family that shapes collagen fibril architecture in connective tissues, supports corneal transparency, and modulates fibroblast activity during wound repair and tumor progression. The Human Lumican PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring endogenous lumican protein in human research samples. Supplied as a complete kit with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standards, detection antibody, and substrate reagents, the workflow follows a standard ELISA protocol with absorbance read on a standard plate reader. The assay is validated for human reactivity and accepts conditioned media from cultured cells, plasma, or serum sample matrices. Reconstituted standards and diluted samples are loaded directly into the plate wells; bound lumican is detected with a biotinylated antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate, then developed with TMB substrate.
