Human LTBP2/Latent-transforming growth factor beta-binding 2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a colorimetric, double-antibody Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Latent-transforming growth factor beta-binding 2 (LTBP2), a secreted extracellular matrix protein involved in binding and regulating transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β). Dysregulation of LTBP2 has been associated with fibrosis, cancer and developmental disorders, making it a useful biomarker for research.

The assay is validated for use with human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is based on TMB substrate development with absorbance read at 450 nm, and kit reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The relevant UniProt entry is Q14767.

Manufacturer-reported linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 88-95%, 84-100% and 81-95% for serum (n=5); 94-103%, 86-100% and 80-100% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 85-102%, 88-101% and 82-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Spiking recovery averaged 93% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma.
