LSECtin participates in hepatic immune regulation and has been identified as an attachment factor used by certain enveloped viruses to enter target cells, so laboratories studying viral entry, liver inflammation, or endothelial immunology rely on it to profile LSECtin levels in cell culture supernatant and matched plasma-derived and serum-derived samples alongside in vitro infection models.

Each kit ships with a coated microplate configured for 96 individual determinations, along with matched reagents for running a full standard curve. Researchers load a small sample volume into each well and read absorbance on a standard plate reader; the absorbance signal scales with analyte concentration, allowing interpolation against the supplied standards.
