LRRN1 (leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 1), also called NLRR1, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the LRR superfamily that is most strongly expressed in the developing and adult central nervous system. Functional studies link it to neuronal differentiation, axon guidance, and synapse maturation, and more recent work has reported dysregulated LRRN1 levels in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and certain gliomas, making it an emerging biomarker candidate for research that bridges neurodevelopmental biology with tumour behaviour. The LRRN1 ELISA from Assay Genie is a quantitative immunoassay that lets laboratories measure native LRRN1 in human specimens, supporting both basic neuroscience projects and translational oncology screening.

The reagent set is supplied as a complete kit sized for 96 individual reactions and includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised reference standard, detection antibody, dilution buffer, wash concentrate, substrate, and stop solution. Each vial is intended for single-use reconstitution on the day of the run. Detection is absorbance-based and read on a standard microplate reader, and the assay is configured exclusively for research use only, not for clinical diagnostic decisions.

Sample handling guidance: freshly collected blood fractions should be processed promptly, aliquoted to minimise repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and stored frozen until the run. Reconstituted working solutions should be kept refrigerated, protected from light, and used within the stability window indicated on the vial label. Researchers studying neuronal differentiation markers in cell culture models, screening tumour tissue lysates, or profiling circulating LRRN1 levels in patient cohorts will find the kit a convenient way to add quantitative LRRN1 readouts to their workflow without having to develop and validate an in-house assay.
