Human LRP1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit with double antibody format is designed for the precise measurement of human LRP1 (Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 1) levels. Also referred to as LRP-1, Alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor (A2MR), Apolipoprotein E receptor (APOER), and CD91, LRP1 is a key cell surface receptor involved in the regulation of cholesterol metabolism, cell signaling, and clearance of extracellular proteins. Dysregulation of LRP1 has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, and cancer, making this kit relevant for research into the pathogenesis of these conditions.

Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. LRP1 falls within the Cell Biology research area.

The assay workflow comprises reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Linearity and recovery data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8.
