Human Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Related Protein 5 (LRP5) ELISA Kit

LRP5 (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor Related Protein 5) is a single-pass transmembrane co-receptor that functions alongside Frizzled receptors in the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. The human LRP5 gene maps to chromosome 11q13.2 and encodes a roughly 1615-residue protein containing four YWTD β-propeller domains, EGF-like repeats, and LDLR class B repeats in its extracellular region. LRP5 regulates osteoblast differentiation, peak bone mass accrual, retinal vascularization, and aspects of glucose and cholesterol metabolism. Loss-of-function mutations in LRP5 cause osteoporosis-pseudoglioma syndrome (OPPG) and familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, whereas gain-of-function variants produce high bone mass phenotypes. Dysregulated Wnt/LRP5 signaling has also been reported in several solid tumors and metabolic disorders.
