Human Low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of human low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay detects the natural and recombinant form of the human low-density lipoprotein receptor, also known as LDL receptor.

The kit has a stated detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. In linearity testing, serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples produced recovery ranges of 82-120% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, and overall recovery in serum averaged 98% (range 92-104%) while plasma averaged 100% (range 94-106%).

LDLR is a cell-surface receptor that binds LDL and mediates its uptake by endocytosis, and dysregulation of LDLR is implicated in cardiovascular disease and familial hypercholesterolemia. The kit is intended for research use only, with the microplate strips and lyophilized standard stored at -20°C and wash buffer, substrate and stop solution stored at 4°C.
