Description

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III-B (FCGR3B), also known as CD16b, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Using a colorimetric detection method, the assay provides a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL.

Performance validation reports an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Recovery testing showed 98% (range 92–104%) in serum and 100% (range 94–106%) in plasma. Linearity in serum across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was 100–109%, 83–95%, 103–115%, and 105–115% respectively. The target protein functions as a low affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma, binding complexed or aggregated IgG as well as monomeric IgG, and may serve as a trap for immune complexes in the peripheral circulation without activating neutrophils.

FCGR3B carries additional synonyms including Fc-gamma RIII-beta, FcR-10, IgG Fc receptor III-1, and FCG3. The protein (UniProt: O75015) exists as a monomer that interacts with INPP5D/SHIP1 and is localised to the cell membrane via a GPI-anchor, with secretion following cleavage. The product is supplied in a solid phase format, shipped at +4°C, and is intended for research use only.
