Lamin B2 (LMNB2) is a type V intermediate filament protein anchored at the inner nuclear membrane, where it contributes to nuclear envelope integrity, chromatin organization, and the regulation of DNA replication timing. Researchers investigating nuclear lamina biology, cellular senescence, or disorders of the nuclear envelope rely on quantitative measurement of LMNB2 protein levels as a biomarker in translational and basic research settings.

The Assay Genie Human LMNB2 ELISA Kit is supplied as a 96 Assays microplate configuration for quantitative detection of human Lamin B2 in serum-derived and plasma-derived specimens, with a colorimetric readout on a standard plate reader. The kit supports studies into partial lipodystrophy syndromes, including Barraquer–Simons acquired partial lipodystrophy, in which LMNB2 sequence variants have been identified, and into cellular aging, since Lamin B2 expression declines during replicative senescence and oncogene-induced senescence in primary human cell populations.
