Human LMNB1/Lamin B1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human LMNB1 (Lamin-B1) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, including cell culture supernatants. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and provides reproducible measurement of Lamin-B1, a key protein component of the nuclear lamina that helps maintain nuclear structure and integrity.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.094ng/ml and a working range of 0.156-10ng/ml. Reported intra-assay precision is CV<8% and inter-assay precision is CV<10%. Spike-and-recovery performance was tested in serum (average 95%, range 86-102%), EDTA plasma (average 99%, range 89-105%) and UFH plasma (average 91%, range 85-97%). Linearity was demonstrated by serial dilution of spiked samples at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 in serum (87-101%, 86-104%, 88-102%), EDTA plasma (86-97%, 87-101%, 86-99%) and UFH plasma (81-99%, 85-94%, 80-100%). Storage is at 4°C for 6 months, and the kit is for research use only.

Lamin-B1 (UniProt P20700, ~68kDa) is encoded by the LMNB1 gene and is a B-type nuclear lamin; dysregulation of Lamin-B1 has been linked to cancer, muscular dystrophy and premature aging syndromes, making this kit relevant to research areas including cell biology, molecular biology and disease mechanism studies.
