Description

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA built on a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection, designed to quantitatively measure Livin, also known as BIRC7, in human samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, making the kit suitable for research into cell death and apoptosis regulation.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a working range of 125-8000 pg/mL. Linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions across serum (92-105%, 84-95%, 88-98%), EDTA plasma (85-100%, 84-99%, 88-97%), and heparin plasma (89-105%, 89-97%, 85-99%). Recovery averages 96% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The assay procedure involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.

Kit components include a dismountable pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual. Components should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The associated UniProt identifier is Q96CA5, and listed synonyms include BIRC7, Livin, KIAP, ML-IAP, baculoviral IAP repeat containing 7, Kidney inhibitor of apoptosis protein, and Melanoma inhibitor of apoptosis protein.
