Human Lithostathine-1-beta (REG1B) ELISA Kit

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.9% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Linearity in serum spans 98-113% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, EDTA plasma spans 96-125% across the same dilutions, and heparin plasma spans 80-121%. Spike-and-recovery averages 94% for serum (range 88-100) and 96% for plasma (range 90-102). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Lithostathine-1-beta.

REG1B, also known by synonyms including Pancreatic stone protein 2, Regenerating islet-derived protein 1-beta, PSP-2, REG-1-beta, PSPS2, and REGL, is a secreted protein (UniProt P48304, 16kDa) that may act as an inhibitor of spontaneous calcium carbonate precipitation and has been associated with neuronal sprouting in brain and with brain and pancreas regeneration.
