Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this is a sandwich-format ELISA for the quantitative measurement of human Lipid phosphate phosphatase-related protein type 1 (LPPR1), also known as Plasticity-related gene 3 protein, PRG-3 and PRG3. The assay is intended for use with human samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human LPPR1. LPPR1 is described as a key protein involved in lipid metabolism and signalling pathways, and its dysregulation has been linked to conditions such as obesity, diabetes and neurological disorders.

According to the manufacturer's datasheet, the kit has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.179 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 7.2% and an inter-assay CV of 11.6%. Recovery averages are 101% for serum (range 95–107%) and 103% for plasma (range 97–109%). The associated UniProt entry is Q8TBJ4, and LPPR1 is described as a multi-pass membrane protein, a member of the plasticity-related gene (PRG) family that is strongly expressed in brain and involved in neuronal plasticity.
