Human LIGHT/TNFSF14 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human LIGHT/TNFSF14 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a standard range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL.

Also known by the synonyms TNFSF14, LIGHT, CD258, HVEM-L, LTg, and TR2, LIGHT is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily that regulates immune cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production. Abnormal LIGHT levels have been associated with autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, and cancer, making it a useful biomarker for research into immune and inflammatory mechanisms and the development of potential therapeutic interventions.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37 °C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding. A biotin-labelled detection antibody is then added and incubated for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. After TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, the reaction is stopped and absorbance is read at 450 nm immediately.
