Quantitative immunoassay platform from Assay Genie for measuring lipoic acid synthetase (LIAS), a mitochondrial iron-sulfur enzyme that catalyzes the final sulfur insertion step onto the octanoic acid backbone during lipoic acid biosynthesis. The Human LIAS ELISA Kit supports research into mitochondrial function, iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis, oxidative stress response, and inherited metabolic conditions associated with deficient lipoic acid production, including LIAS-linked hyperglycinemia and infantile-onset mitochondrial disease.
