Human Leukotriene C4 synthase (LTC4S) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Leukotriene C4 synthase (LTC4S). The assay is intended for research use only and measures LTC4S, an enzyme that catalyzes the conjugation of leukotriene A4 with reduced glutathione to form leukotriene C4.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance includes a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 27pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.0%. Recovery averages 103% (range 97-109%) for serum and 105% (range 99-111%) for plasma.

This makes the assay a suitable tool for research applications studying inflammation and immune response, including investigation of conditions such as asthma, allergies, and inflammatory bowel disease, in which LTC4S dysregulation has been implicated.
