Human Leukotriene A4 Hydrolase/LTA4H ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Leukotriene A4 Hydrolase (LTA4H). Built on a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout, the assay delivers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reagents stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Spike-and-recovery performance in serum averaged 93% (range 85–100%), in EDTA plasma averaged 91% (range 86–97%), and in heparin plasma averaged 93% (range 85–100%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions was 91–103%, 85–101% and 91–98% for serum; 89–104%, 86–99% and 94–100% for EDTA plasma; and 92–103%, 85–97% and 91–100% for heparin plasma (all n=5). The procedure uses a pre-coated plate incubated with samples and standards at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution.

LTA4H is an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of leukotriene B4, a potent inflammatory mediator that plays a critical role in the immune response, and its dysregulation has been implicated in various inflammatory diseases, making this kit a useful tool for studies of inflammation, immune pathways and related therapeutic research.
