Human Leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor 1 (LAIR1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of human Leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor 1 (LAIR1), also referred to by the synonyms CD305 and LAIR-1. The kit is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only. Detection is performed by colorimetric ELISA, and the assay is specific for natural and recombinant human LAIR1.

The kit shows a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067ng/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity across dilutions 1:2 to 1:16 spans 99-109% to 102-111% for serum, 99-107% to 99-108% for EDTA plasma, and 89-98% to 93-102% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages 100% (range 94-106%) in serum and 102% (range 96-108%) in plasma.

LAIR1 functions as an inhibitory receptor that plays a constitutive negative regulatory role on the cytolytic function of natural killer (NK) cells, B-cells and T-cells, and interacts with the SH2 domains of tyrosine-protein phosphatases PTPN6 and PTPN11 as well as CSK. The protein binds with high affinity to extracellular matrix collagens and is located on the cell membrane as a single-pass type I membrane protein, with a reported molecular weight of 23,049 Da. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the leukocyte-associated inhibitory receptor family, mapping to chromosomal region 19q13.4, and the research area is immunology, with relevance to immune tolerance, autoimmune disease, inflammatory disorders and cancer biology.
