Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative detection of human LETMD1 (Leucine Zipper-EF-Hand Containing Transmembrane Domain 1). LETMD1 is a protein involved in cellular processes including cell signaling, membrane trafficking, and intracellular calcium regulation, and its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for research into cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders.

The kit uses a double antibody sandwich ELISA format with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with components stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Known synonyms include HCRR-2, HCCR-1, Cervical cancer 1 proto-oncogene protein p40, and Cervical cancer proto-oncogene 2 protein, with the associated Uniprot accession Q6P1Q0.

The assay procedure begins with equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, followed by primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is added with incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) is applied for 30 minutes at 37°C. Color development with TMB substrate proceeds in the dark for 10–20 minutes, after which stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
