Human LDLR (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor) CLIA Kit (HUES00692)

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie offers a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (82-120%), EDTA plasma (101-118%) and heparin plasma (97-117%). Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92-104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94-106%). The assay recognises both natural and recombinant human LDLR.

LDLR is a cell-surface receptor that binds LDL, the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein of plasma, and transports it into cells by endocytosis via clathrin-coated pits. Defects in LDLR cause familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a common autosomal semi-dominant disease. The kit is intended for research use only.
