Human LDL R PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0826)

The Assay Genie Human LDL R PharmaGenie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDL R), a transmembrane cell-surface glycoprotein (~160 kDa) that mediates clathrin-dependent endocytosis of circulating LDL particles and drives hepatic clearance of plasma cholesterol. The assay is calibrated specifically for detection of human LDL R and is intended for use with human-derived specimens.

Quantitation of LDL R expression supports translational research into familial hypercholesterolemia, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, PCSK9-mediated receptor turnover, and statin or lipid-lowering drug-response studies in vitro. Validated for use with cell culture supernatant samples and blood-derived fractions from human donors; the standard protocol loads 100 µL of prepared sample per well.

The 96-assay microplate kit is supplied with pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standards, and substrate reagents sufficient for the full run. Store the unopened kit refrigerated at 4 degrees C, protect chromogenic reagents from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the standard and antibody vials. Allow all components to equilibrate to room temperature prior to dispensing.
