Human LDL R/LDL Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human LDL receptor (LDLR) levels. The LDL receptor is a key regulator of LDL cholesterol uptake from the bloodstream, and dysregulation of its function is associated with cardiovascular diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for metabolism research.

Using a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, the kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The protocol uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months. Validated linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) 86–104%, 85–104%, 85–99%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 82–98%, 83–97%, 82–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) 83–100%, 90–100%, 84–100%. Recovery: serum (n=5) 94–105% (average 99%); EDTA plasma (n=5) 91–102% (average 96%); heparin plasma (n=5) 87–102% (average 96%).
