Human LDL/Low Density Lipoprotein ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of human LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a biotinylated detection antibody with streptavidin-HRP, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 7.813-500ng/ml and a sensitivity of < 4.688ng/ml. Storage is at 4°C for 6 months. Spike-and-recovery tests gave 85-101% (average 93%) in serum (n=5), 87-105% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 85-102% (average 95%) in UFH plasma (n=5).

Linearity was tested by serial dilution of spiked samples. Serum (n=5) showed 87-97% at 1:2, 89-103% at 1:4, 85-104% at 1:8, and 90-104% at 1:16. EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 91-101%, 82-99%, 83-101% and 83-93% across the same dilutions. UFH plasma (n=5) showed 91-100%, 80-96%, 85-99% and 83-93%. Intra-Assay CV is <8% and Inter-Assay CV is <10%.
