Human LDHD/Lactate dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human LDHD (Lactate Dehydrogenase) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL and the assay range is 0.781-50 ng/mL. The kit is intended for use with human samples only.

LDHD catalyses conversion of lactate to pyruvate, and abnormal levels have been associated with liver disease, muscle damage, and heart conditions, making the enzyme a candidate biomarker for disease monitoring. In spike-and-recovery studies, serum showed 85-104% recovery (average 95%), EDTA plasma 88-105% (average 94%), and heparin plasma 87-104% (average 92%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions ranged from 81% to 105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 each). The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, wash buffer, and stop solution, and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
