LCN8 (Lipocalin 8) is a member of the lipocalin family of small secreted carrier proteins, characterized by a conserved barrel-shaped fold that binds hydrophobic ligands. Expression is concentrated in the male reproductive tract, especially the epididymis, where LCN8 is implicated in sperm maturation. This Assay Genie ELISA is intended for in vitro research use and provides quantitative measurement of human LCN8 levels across liquid sample matrices, with a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a recommended sample volume of 50 µL per well.
