Human LCAT/Lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit employs a Double Antibody configuration for the colorimetric quantitative measurement of LCAT, also known as Lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase or Phospholipid-cholesterol acyltransferase (Uniprot P04180). The assay is validated for reactivity with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.781–50 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.469 pg/mL. Dilution linearity in serum (n=5) showed recovery ranges of 85–100% at 1:2, 85–94% at 1:4, and 83–99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) returned 93–105%, 89–99%, and 82–97%; heparin plasma (n=5) returned 89–104%, 85–100%, and 80–98%. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded ranges of 92–104% (average 98%) for serum, 93–103% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 90–105% (average 97%) for heparin plasma.

The workflow uses a pre-coated capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. The kit is intended for research use only.
