Human Latent-transforming growth factor beta-binding protein 2 (LTBP2) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the detection of human Latent-transforming growth factor beta-binding protein 2 (LTBP2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Synonyms for the target include LTBP-2, C14orf141 and LTBP3. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human LTBP2 and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.039 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.0% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%.

LTBP2 is an extracellular matrix protein that may play an integral structural role in elastic-fiber architectural organization and/or assembly. It is incorporated into the large latent transforming growth factor beta precursor complex, where its removal is essential for activation of the complex.
