Human Late cornified envelope-like proline-rich protein 1 (LELP1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Late cornified envelope-like proline-rich protein 1 (LELP1) in research samples. LELP1 belongs to the cornifin (SPRR) family and contributes to formation of the late cornified envelope, supporting skin barrier function and integrity. Abnormal LELP1 levels have been implicated in conditions including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, making it a useful biomarker for studies of skin health and therapy development.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and is specific for both natural and recombinant human LELP1. Manufacturer-reported performance includes a sensitivity of 31 pg/mL, a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 10.9%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with reported recoveries of 88-100% for serum and 90-102% for plasma.

The assay follows a sandwich ELISA workflow using a microplate, sequential Detection Reagent A and Detection Reagent B incubations, wash steps, substrate incubation, stop solution, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Kit components are supplied for storage at either -20°C or 4°C depending on the item, and the product is intended for research use only.
