The Assay Genie human LARGE immunoassay kit quantifies LARGE1 protein levels in research samples using a two-site antibody capture format with an enzyme reporter for absorbance readout. LARGE (LARGE xylosyl- and glucuronyltransferase 1) is a type II transmembrane glycosyltransferase essential for proper glycosylation of alpha-dystroglycan, and altered LARGE1 expression has been linked to congenital and limb-girdle muscular dystrophies, glioma invasion, and several cancer contexts, making quantitative measurement valuable for neuromuscular and oncology research workflows.

The kit is supplied as a complete microplate bundle with pre-coated wells, lyophilized calibrator, detection antibody, and chromogenic substrate sufficient for a full standard curve and replicate unknowns in human blood-derived specimens. Each run uses a small microliter sample volume dispensed into wells; absorbance is read in a standard plate reader, and concentrations are interpolated against the included recombinant standard. Researchers studying dystroglycanopathy pathways, dystrophin-glycoprotein complex assembly, or tumor-associated glycosylation changes will also find the kit useful for cell lysate, tissue homogenate, and conditioned medium work.

Storage guidance: keep unopened components refrigerated at 4 °C; allow the sealed plate to equilibrate to room temperature before use, and protect conjugated reagents from light. Reconstituted standards should be divided into aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the working substrate solution is intended for single-use within the assay session.
