Description

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Laminin subunit beta-2 (LAMB2), a component of the laminin protein family involved in cell adhesion, signalling, and migration. The double-antibody sandwich format is read colorimetrically, and the kit is intended for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance specifications reported by Assay Genie include a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Reported linearity for serum (n = 5) spans 86–100% at a 1:2 dilution, 92–97% at 1:4, and 92–101% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n = 5) spans 85–101%, 82–92%, and 86–103% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n = 5) spans 83–96%, 83–98%, and 82–99%. Reported spike-recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 95–106%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 87–100%), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 90–105%).

The workflow includes equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a 90-minute primary binding step at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody incubation, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, 10–20 minutes of colour development in the dark, and absorbance readout at 450 nm after stop solution is added. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
