Laminin alpha-4 (LAMA4) is a glycoprotein subunit of the laminin family that forms the alpha chain of basement membrane heterotrimers such as laminin-8 (LAMA4/LAMB1) and laminin-9 (LAMA4/LAMC3). Researchers use this quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie to measure LAMA4 concentrations in cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum samples, supporting studies of angiogenesis, vascular remodeling, neuromuscular junction biology, and tumor microenvironment behavior. The assay uses a two-antibody capture format with chromogenic readout and includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, and substrate sufficient for 96 determinations. Typical sample volume is 100 µL per well, with analyte concentrations interpolated from a standard curve of purified human LAMA4. Applications include profiling LAMA4 expression changes in cancer progression, cardiovascular disease models, muscular dystrophy research, and investigations of basement membrane remodeling in fibrosis and wound healing contexts. For research use only.
