Human Laminin alpha 4/LAMA4 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of LAMA4 in human research samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody, colorimetric format. LAMA4 (Laminin alpha-4) is an extracellular matrix component involved in cell adhesion, migration, and differentiation, and its dysregulation has been associated with cancer, muscular dystrophy, and kidney disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions.

The kit detects LAMA4 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL, with an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Storage is stated at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been validated in serum (87-101% at 1:2, 88-101% at 1:4, 90-97% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (85-103%, 86-101%, 87-100%) and heparin plasma (86-103%, 91-99%, 89-98%). Recovery averages are 95% in serum, 97% in EDTA plasma, and 96% in heparin plasma.

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody (37°C, 60 minutes), then HRP-Streptavidin (37°C, 30 minutes), developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
