Human Lamin-B1 (LMNB1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative determination of human Lamin-B1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows reactivity with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant human Lamin-B1, with a reported detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.34 ng/mL.

Performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Linearity was assessed by serial dilution in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery was evaluated in serum (average 109%, range 103–115%) and plasma (average 111%, range 105–117%).

Lamin B1 is a component of the nuclear lamina, a fibrous layer on the nucleoplasmic side of the inner nuclear membrane that provides a structural framework for the nuclear envelope. It functions as a homodimer and interacts with lamin-associated polypeptides IA, IB and 2, as well as with SPAG4 and SEPT12. The protein localises to the inner nuclear membrane and has a reported molecular weight of ~68 kDa (UniProt P20700). Listed research area: Cancer. For research use only.
