Human Lactadherin (MFGE8) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Human Lactadherin (MFGE8) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for the accurate quantification of lactadherin levels in human samples. The kit demonstrates reactivity with human specimens and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It shows specificity for natural and recombinant human lactadherin.

The assay provides a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 16.4pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 8.6%. Linearity has been confirmed across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples, with recovery ranging from 90-102% in serum (average 96%) and 92-104% in plasma (average 98%).

Lactadherin (MFGE8) plays a role in the regulation of apoptosis and inflammation as well as the clearance of apoptotic cells, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. The kit is intended for research use only.
