Lacritin supports basal tear secretion via syndecan-1 binding and is under investigation as a circulating biomarker for dry eye disease (DED) and ocular surface inflammation. This microplate-based immunoassay uses a human-specific capture antibody directed against LACRT, enabling reproducible measurement in blood-derived samples.
