Human L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain (LDHA) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain (LDHA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant human LDHA, with a reported intra-assay CV of 5.6% and inter-assay CV of 8.7%.

LDHA catalyses the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis and is found predominantly in muscle tissue. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders, making it a biomarker of interest in oncology and metabolism research. The stated detection range is 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, and recovery in serum averages 104% (range 98–110%) while plasma averages 106% (range 100–112%). Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions.

Subunit composition is reported as a homotetramer, with the target localised to the cytoplasm (UniProt P00338).
