Human Kynureninase (KYNU) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Kynureninase (KYNU) in human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit shows reactivity with natural and recombinant human Kynureninase.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL. Reported precision values are 4.6% for intra-assay CV and 8.3% for inter-assay CV. Linearity in serum ranged from 89-113% across dilution factors 1:2 to 1:16, with EDTA plasma showing 82-115% and heparin plasma 107-123%. Recovery averaged 104% for serum (range 98-110%) and 106% for plasma (range 100-112%).

Kynureninase is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-dependent enzyme in the kynurenine pathway of tryptophan metabolism. It catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic acid and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, respectively, with a preference for the L-3-hydroxy form. The protein forms a homodimer and is localized to the cytoplasm, where it is of interest in cell biology research. Dysregulation of the kynurenine pathway has been linked to neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. The kit is supplied for research use only.
