Human KLK2/Kallikrein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of KLK2 (Kallikrein 2), also known as Kallikrein-2, Glandular kallikrein-1, hGK-1, and Tissue kallikrein-2, in human samples. The kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. KLK2 is a key enzyme belonging to the kallikrein-related peptidase family, with known involvement in prostate cancer progression and hormone regulation.

Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with serum recovery averaging 94% (range 88-103%), EDTA plasma 97% (range 91-103%), and heparin plasma 92% (range 85-104%).

The protocol uses a TMB substrate with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after a 10–20 minute color development in the dark. Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, dilution buffers, stop solution, wash buffer, and plate sealer. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
