The KLHL15 protein is a member of the Kelch-like family that acts as a substrate adaptor for Cullin-3 E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes, directing the ubiquitin-mediated turnover of client proteins. Functional studies have shown that KLHL15 targets the GluN1 subunit of NMDA receptors for ubiquitination and degradation, and loss-of-function mutations in KLHL15 have been identified in individuals with X-linked intellectual disability. These findings make quantitative measurement of KLHL15 a useful readout for neuroscience, neurodevelopmental disorder, and ubiquitin-proteasome pathway research.

This immunoassay from Assay Genie is supplied as a complete kit configured for in vitro research workflows and quantitative detection of human KLHL15. The 96 Assays format provides a pre-coated microplate together with the standards, detection antibody, and other reagents needed to generate a calibration curve and measure KLHL15 across experimental conditions. The kit is shipped refrigerated and components should be stored at low temperature to preserve activity; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of prepared working solutions.

Researchers studying KLHL15 biology, Cul3-KLHL15 ligase function, NMDA receptor regulation, or the molecular basis of X-linked intellectual disability can use this assay to compare KLHL15 levels across control and patient-derived samples, treatment groups, or genetic backgrounds. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical decision-making.
