The KLHL12 protein (Kelch-like 12) is a BTB-Kelch substrate adaptor for the Cullin3 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, where it mediates monoubiquitination of SEC31 and regulates ER-to-Golgi trafficking of procollagen. Quantitative measurement of circulating KLHL12 is relevant to cardiovascular and fibrosis research, where altered KLHL12 activity has been linked to collagen processing defects. This Assay Genie kit employs a human-specific capture antibody with no significant cross-reactivity observed with mouse or rat homologues. The kit is supplied as a 96 Assays microplate with pre-coated wells, lyophilized recombinant standards, detection antibody, and substrate solution. All components should be refrigerated and protected from light; reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 degrees C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
