Human Kir4.1/KCNJ10 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double-antibody kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Kir4.1 (KCNJ10) in human samples. The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric readout with absorbance measured at 450 nm [S1].

Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is given for serum (90–105%, 88–104%, 87–103%), EDTA plasma (92–100%, 83–98%, 83–101%) and heparin plasma (80–100%, 87–99%, 81–98%), with average spike-recovery values of 97% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma [S1].

The protocol uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), with TMB substrate development and a stop reaction, and the kit is intended for research applications including the study of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and epilepsy in which Kir4.1/KCNJ10 has been implicated [S1].
