Human Kinase suppressor of Ras 2 (KSR2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Kinase suppressor of Ras 2 (KSR2), described as a peripheral membrane protein located in the cytoplasm (UniProt Q6VAB6). The colorimetric assay is reactive with human samples and recognises natural and recombinant human KSR2. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 34pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma. KSR2 acts as a location-regulated scaffold connecting MEK to RAF and displays very low protein kinase activity, phosphorylating MAP2K1 at several Ser and Thr residues with very low efficiency in vitro; this activity is enhanced by interaction with BRAF. The protein also blocks MAP3K8 kinase activity and acts as a negative regulator of MAP3K3-mediated activation of ERK, JNK and NF-kappa-B pathways. The kit is intended for research use only.
